Tips for using the EpiphanyStrange.com Search Engine


This site is pretty well organized, and in most cases, a search is not needed. For example, if you are looking for a dress, just go to the "Short Dresses" or "Long Dresses" page from the Main Index.

If you do feel the need to use the search engine, please follow the tips below for best results. This search engine is designed for Quick Search results. When you enter a search term, please do NOT use quotation marks as this will greatly limit your search results, and quite often, no results will be returned, when in fact, the item that you are looking for may actually be on the site [see number 3 below for a more detailed explanation].

When you enter text in the box below, you can choose from one of three options in the Drop Down box.

1] Find ANY Word: This search will yield the most results and will find any of the words that you enter. For example: If you enter Lace Skirt, the results will include anything that has either Lace OR Skirt in the description. This may include any page with the word skirt on it, including descriptions of the lower half of short or long dresses, such as "this dress has an asymmetrical skirt". This search may also bring results of pages where shoes or corsets have the word laces in the description.

2] Find ALL Words: This is recommended for more specific searches, and will often yield less, but more detailed results than the "Find ANY Word" search option. This search is also used in place of the "Find Exact Phrase" search below.

3] Find EXACT Phrase: This search is not recommended because it will look for the exact phrase and the exact phrase only. For example: If you enter Lace Skirt, the search will only retrieve items which are labeled exactly this way. Results for items labeled Lace Gothic Skirt or Lace Lolita Skirt or Lace Ruffle Skirt will not be found, when in fact, these items may be available on the website.
